Last week Justin swept Joie and I away to the raddest little town, Ojai. He's been busy training for fire season and finishing his degree and I have been working hard on my new business and raising our family. We both needed a little change of scenery and a breath of fresh air. I had never been to Ojai before and we were trying to get away for the evening, while staying rather close to home. It was about a 45 minute drive along the ocean and through lush canyons. We pulled up to Ojai Rancho Inn (the most adorable place with extremely reasonable prices) and set out on a stroll downtown. There are some really fun shops to look at (Summer Camp being my favorite) and it has a very comforting, small town feel. I found a lot of inspiration along the way and we really enjoyed the slower pace than we are used to in Santa Barbara. It was a pretty hot day, so we decided to venture back to the inn and hang out on the lawn next to the teepee and just enjoy our little family. It was simple, short and just what we needed to recharge. We can't wait to go back and explore more of this precious little town.
